The App requests microphone access solely for voice command recognition. When you speak to the App:

- The microphone is only active when you tap the listen button
On-Device AI
The App includes an optional AI feature powered by a small language model (TinyLlama) that runs entirely on your device:
- No data is sent to external AI services or cloud servers
- All AI processing happens locally on your device
- The AI model is downloaded once and stored locally
Sound Content
The App may download additional animal sound files from our servers. These downloads:
- Do not require any user account or personal information
- Are cached locally on your device for offline use
- Do not track or log any user activity
Data Storage
All app data (settings, preferences, cached sounds) is stored locally on your device. We do not maintain any user databases or external storage of user information.
Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. There are:
- No advertisements
- No analytics or usage tracking
- No cookies or web tracking
- No social media integrations
Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Critter Caller is designed for children ages 3-6. We take children's privacy very seriously:
- We do not collect any personal information from children
- We do not require registration or user accounts

- The App functions fully offline after initial setup
